Alaskan Spot Shrimp Tacos

If you want to make a light and flavorful dish, give Alaskan spot shrimp tacos a try. In order to make them, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 1 lb. Alaskan spot shrimp (shelled and halved)
  • 1 tbsp. sherry wine vinegar
  • Juice from ½ of a fresh lime
  • Taco fixing of your choice
  • ½ doz. flour tortillas
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp. honey

To assemble the dish, grab a large sauté pan and place it over a medium flame. Add the oil to the pan and let it heat up. Then add the Alaskan spot shrimp to the pan. Briefly sauté them for 30 seconds on each side. Next, add the sherry wine vinegar, honey and lime juice into the mix. Let it cook for approximately 1.5 minutes. Once the Alaskan spot shrimp are opaque throughout, remove them from the pan. Afterward, add them to the flour tortillas with the taco fixings of your choice. The dish is designed to serve 6 people.

Deep-Fried Alaskan Spot Shrimp

Deep-fried Alaskan spot shrimp is another seafood dish to consider serving. In order to whip up a batch for 6 people, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 1 pack Gourmet Seafood Batter (coconut, herb, spicy or original)
  • 1 lb. Alaskan spot shrimp (cleaned and shelled)
  • Dipping sauces of choice (optional)
  • 6 cups oil

Once you have your ingredients, follow the instructions posted on the back of the Gourmet Seafood Batter package. When you are finished making the batter, add your oil to the deep-fryer. After the oil reaches temperature, dip the Alaskan spot shrimp into the batter and then drop them into the oil. As soon as the batter turns a golden color, remove the Alaskan spot shrimp from the oil. Then dab off any excess oil and serve them with or without dipping sauces.
