Disappointed

I'm having a hard time reviewing this item as I was excited to have the candied halibut but am verify disappointed. I've been a fan of all things smoked forever and have eaten a wide variety of smoked fish in my life, but sadly this product was terrible. It was tough like it had been in the freezer too long, and it tasted like salty seafoam with sugar on top. I literally could not even finish a whole piece. The package was in tact, and I defrosted it in the refrigerator as suggested so I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch or it was supposed to taste like that.
