All orders ship via FedEx with a 1–2 day transit time. A signature is not required unless delivering to an apartment or business address and must be requested.
We ship Monday through Wednesday, and occasionaly Thursdays depending on the situation (please contact us). We do not ship on major holidays or if your delivery date falls on a holiday.
Orders placed before 3:30 PM Alaska Time ship the next business day. All orders must be placed at least one day before your desired ship date. Orders placed after 3:30 PM Wednesday through Friday will ship the following Monday. Please note — we are unable to offer same-day shipping.
FedEx provides an estimated delivery window with your tracking number, but there is no guaranteed delivery time. Packages may arrive later in the day or the following day depending on your location or seasonal volume. If shipping to a business, please confirm someone will be available to receive the package, as deliveries can occur as late as 8:00 PM.
We ship to all 50 states. Orders shipping to Hawaii require an additional $65.00 shipping charge. Free shipping is available on combos, subscriptions and orders 8Lbs or more.
Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order. We ship to the address you provide and cannot be held responsible for delays or misdeliveries caused by incorrect information. Address changes requested after your order has left our facility will incur a $25 fee.
We're located on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula and ship year-round, but extreme weather can affect transit times. We pack every order with insulation designed to keep your seafood frozen or cold for up to two days in transit. In rare cases, weather-related delays beyond our control may impact delivery, and neither Tanner's nor FedEx can be held liable for those delays.
By adding shipping insurance at checkout, your order is fully covered if your shipment experiences delays beyond our standard 1–2 day transit window and your products arrive spoiled due to carrier delays during transit. If you do not add shipping insurance, we are unable to issue replacements or credits for spoilage caused by transit delays.
We offer shipping insurance that covers the shipping cost for a reshipment of your exact same order if all the following conditions are met:
1. Your package is delayed by a day or more.
2. The products are spoiled. (Products are expected to arrive in either a frozen state or an unfrozen “cool to the touch” state.)
To provide a complimentary reshipment of your products and for your shipping insurance to take effect, we require a picture of the box, a picture of the FedEx label on the box, and a picture of all the spoiled products.
We strongly recommend shipping insurance for all packages, as it is mandatory for each box to be covered. For example, if you place an order that requires us to use two boxes to ship it to you, each box must be insured to qualify for the shipping insurance coverage if purchased.
We do not accept returns, as all products are perishable and cannot be reused or resold.
If you're ordering for a special occasion, we recommend placing your order early so we can coordinate the best delivery date. For holiday gifts, please let your recipient know a package is on the way — a signature isn't required in most cases, and unattended packages left outside can thaw and spoil. We cannot issue credits for packages that were delivered on time but left unattended.
Every Tanners Alaskan Seafood order should arrive frozen or cool to the touch. If something doesn't look right, contact us right away — ideally the same day or next day after delivery. Please hold onto all packaging until the issue is resolved. We may request photos to help assess the situation and reserve the right to investigate any claims.
